Fundraising – Candy Bar Sales

By | April 24, 2018

At Marion Boys Baseball we have one fundraising drive for the year and it has begun.  We are selling candy bars.  These help us pay for certified umpires to officiate all of our games starting at the Pony level and moving up.  The umpires are the only paid employees we have.  We have approximately 400 boxes of candy bars that we need to sell to help pay for these umpires.  We ask that each player in the league try to sell at least one box.  We offer incentives for selling multiple boxes.  For every 5 boxes a player sells, we give the player $25.  The top seller in each league gets $100 and gets to throw out the first pitch at the Cedar Rapids Kernels game on Marion Boys Baseball Night at the Kernels.  Candy Bar Boxes are available for pickup at Starry at the concession stand from 5:30-6:30 every night until the boxes are gone.   The candy bars sell for $2 a piece and the league makes $30 per box sold.  We don’t force everyone to sell candy bars but we encourage those that don’t want to sell candy bars to make a $30 donation to the league to help us cover the umpires.  We will accept candy bar money and donations at Starry during the times we are passing out candy bar boxes.
